65 million people are displaced from every corner of the planet, and all can see that man is reverting not growing, resulting in a digital age less connected to reality. We are bearing witness to the development of AI (red. Artificial Intelligence) and the decline of humanity. Human rights have been a side menu for political figures and governments aiming at wealth rather than stability and cohesion. That’s a fact, not virtual reality. This year 2018 will mark a major milestone acknowledging the incredible story and leadership of Nelson Mandela’s Centenary. The centenary programs created by Quintessence Of Culture (Q.O.C.) in conjunction with the Nelson Mandela Foundation (NMF) is embarking on a significant endeavor to capture the essence of Nelson Mandela’s Legacy through a host of cultural, educational, public and artistic platforms.
Nelson Mandela’s fight for humanity
Nelson Mandela stood for humanity. He believed that all of humanity deserved the treatment he wanted for all human beings in the world; to have access to pillars of Human Rights: healthy food, shelter, water and education. Today’s younger generation does not know much about Mandela, and the brands are mostly interested in Mandela the Icon - yet little know the man who for freedom sacrificed 27 years in prison for his beliefs. Mandela walked out of prison and went on a fight for humanity.

We want this Centenary Celebration to uplift and unveil a conversation many cannot or refuse to have, about the growing wars into many communities, the continued separation of religion and political freedoms, and to point out the connection of South Africa and Germany highlighting the western cape and Bavarian plan just reinstated in February of 2018.

About the author and the organizers
Nefertiti Angelica Strong and Saskia Nathalie Betz started Quintessence of Culture/ www.quintessence-of-culture.com . They brainstormed this idea during their time together in New York City, realizing that the next years of their lives together should be inclusive of their work life experiences. The goal was to construct the single, most engaging solution to satisfy the need of production lead by women infused with culture and social relevance, enabling them to get the job done more effectively and continue to be the change makers they both had lived their lives as.
Their producing methods are important to both of them, as well as their implementation of processes and development, of which they have both been executers through their learned skills and 20+ years of being in the entertainment business on the job Saskia as photographer, and Angelica as an artist actress and director. The quintessence of culture is a balancing act between art + commerce… They have done everything from commercials to private events.
